World Palm Portraits Photography Competition 2016 World Palm Portraits Photography Competition is an annual international photography competition, organised by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC). It started in 2013 with almost 600 entries, which increased the following year to approximately 1,000 entries. By 2015, more than 5,000 submissions were received. The competition has garnered attention from as far as Brazil, Latvia, and United States of America. World Palm Portraits @KLIA2 World Palm Portraits @KLIA2, organised by Malaysian Palm Oil Council, is an initiative to use images to educate the public on the biodiversity of oil palm plantations, the economic success of palm oil in eradicating poverty and its multitude applications in food and non-food products. The 14-day exhibition is expected to inculcate an appreciation of the palm oil industry. Most images are from World Palm Portraits Photography Competition 2013-2015.
